GEOS has been protecting people, places and things globally since 2007. Your world is our world, no matter where you need us. We know how to get it right!
GEOS has positively impacted the lives of thousands of people! We were the first and only International Emergency Response Coordination Center. That is why more choose GEOS everyday!
We at GEOS know that not all incidents are the same, however you need an alerting, communication and response system that can be used for All Hazards, including non-emergency incidents.
People, Places, and Things all have their place and knowing the current safety and security status is critical. Even more critical is getting help to the right location, that is the technology behind GEOS Solutions and Services.
GEOS was there when one of our employees was in critical need of assistance. He had a minor vehicle accident, but was in a remote area in Canada in a snow storm. He activated his GEOS monitored device and the GEOS IERCC contacted and directed emergency services to his location. Since that incident we have also adapted GEOS Lone Worker monitoring for all of our remote field employees.
During Hurricane IKE in September 2008, we had lost track of a group of employees at one of our storage facilities that had stayed behind to float the tanks and to watch over the facility. Unfortunately, IKE decided to make a shift and with the storm surge our team was in the "soup". To let us know they were okay, they pressed the OK button on their GEOS monitored device through the worst part of the storm letting us know they were safe. This saved us from having to put others in harm to determine if the team was safe. Thank you GEOS IERCC.
Our pilot and his aircraft were overdue and we could not make contact with him as he was out of range. We knew that if he had deviated he would have radioed and if he had gone down his aircraft was outfitted with an Emergency Locator Transmitter so someone would be notified. Our flight control center received a call from the GEOS IERCC informing us that they had received and emergency activation from the pilots handheld Satellite Emergency Notification Device and had sent a emergency response team to the location. In the end, the pilot suffered minor injuries, but given the weather and the time things could have been a lot worse.
